Welcome to the Department of Politics, Philosophy and International Relations
Alongside pioneering research produced by our world-leading academics, at the heart of our department is ensuring our students have a great experience and learn key new skills. We do this by embedding employability skills right through our curriculum, providing strong connections in the working world, and hosting a range of employability initiatives that students are able to benefit from, such as regular careers and skills sessions, and a range of guest lectures and networking events.
We challenge our students to investigate the wide and complex issues arising from how our societies are currently organised in political terms, both domestically and internationally, and how they should or could be better organised in the future.
We also offer sector-leading facilities to our students, including dedicated study and social spaces, and offer exceptional support to ensure students reach their goals with our dedicated Student Information Team, Employability Team, and Personal Tutors.
