Predators at Freshwater Fisheries in Wales
A study into the perceived impact of predators at fisheries in Wales has been undertaken by a team of researchers in the School of the Environment and Society, led by Dr Dan Forman. The team, comprising of the Conservation Ecology Research Team Swansea (CERTS), the Swansea University Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship Team (ESDGC) and the Centre for Sustainable Aquaculture Research (CSAR) looked at this issue that has become a major challenge for the multi-million pound commercial aquaculture and leisure fishing industry in Wales. A Fisheries Report based on their findings is available in pdf format.
The study was highlighted by The Telegraph on 7 November 2010 and in the December issue of Trout and Salmon.
