2 Sep: SMASHfestUK Mini-Festival

2 Sep: SMASHfestUK Mini-Festival

Do you love volcanoes and space? How would you survive a natural disaster? One week before Swansea Science Festival kicks off, join SMASHfestUK as they take over Neath’s shopping streets. A free, family STEM (Science, Tech, Engineering & Maths) and Arts mini festival, you’ll explore Supervolcanoes, asteroids, Earth and more. Get stuck in arts & crafts, messy experiments, games, and a 'Survival Village' - with real scientists & engineers!

SMASHfestUK focuses on a different natural disaster each year, exploring how to survive and rebuild society after its events. Our specific aim is to increase diversity and widen participation in STEM through the Arts.

Location: Neath Town Centre (Orchard St, Green St), the Square outside Morrison’s and surrounding area.

Date: Saturday 2 September 2017.

Time: 12-4pm.
