Exchange and visiting students are advised to select level 1 (HE level 4) or level 2 (HE level 5) classes/modules.
The pre-selected modules from your application are sent to the academic departments for approval, if there are any issues with modules the department will contact you directly to discuss your options. The approved selection will be uploaded to your student record which you will see when you enrol.
You can email your updated module selections to the Go Global Team who will udpdate the academic department. Please note that during the first two teaching weeks of the semester there is an add/drop module session, where you will have the opportunity to change your modules. Further details about this process will be emailed to you at the start of the semester.
The academic department where you are stuyding your modules are responsible for uploading your modules to your student record. Please inform the Go Global Team who will contact the academic department to request your missing modules are uploaded.
Please contact the Go Global Team who will be able to assist you with your paperwork.
Once you have been sent your Swansea University student number you will be able to apply for accommodation. The Go Global Team will contact you with information on how to apply.
- Full year students - Rooms are normally offered to exchange and visiting students once Residential Services have allocated rooms to full-time students studying their degree at Swansea University. This happens after the majority of students receive their exam results in late August. Offers are then sent out almost daily.
- Semester 1 and 2 students - You should receive a room offer within 2 weeks of applying but at least 2 weeks prior to arrival.
Make sure to check your email and accommodation account regularly for your room offer.
You will need to pay a reservation deposit online within 7 days of getting your room offer – this is deducted from your final accommodation payment. Please note that this reservation deposit is non-refundable if you later choose to cancel the accommodation allocated to you.
Residential Services cannot guraantee you a place in a specific residence but they will do their best to house you in either your first or second preference. Ensuite Residences are always significantly oversubscribed - if you put this as your first preference, make sure you think carefully about your other choices.
If you want to change rooms within your current residence, move to another residence or, are not happy in your accommodation for any reason then you should contact Residential Services and complete a transfer request form. When a suitable room is available, you will be contacted and will have an opportunity to look at the new room before deciding whether to move. Sometimes it is possible for transfers to be done within a few days or a couple of weeks. However, you may have to wait several weeks, or even months, if no suitable rooms become vacant.
