Swansea University stood out from a lot of other universities because of the new facilities that they built. As a software engineer, the Computational Foundry building was brand new with lots of labs that include Linux PC’s and workshops rooms that have 3D printers and other machines.

The thing that I enjoy the most about my Software Engineering course are the modules and the programming assignments. All the modules I have taken so far have been fun and very interesting to learn. From learning about Databases to how servers communicate with clients. This course has exactly what I wish to learn and develop my skills in.

One of my three favourite things about Swansea is the frequent transportation. There are plenty of buses that can take you pretty much anywhere in Swansea.

Another thing I liked about Swansea is the number of societies and clubs the university has to offer. I have joined the Computer Science society which they run events constantly throughout the year. Last year, I have joined the kickboxing society which was challenging and that was exactly why I liked it.

And lastly, my favourite thing about Swansea… is that it is Swansea, there are plenty of beaches to go to: from the very close Bay Campus beach to others like the 3 Cliffs beach which is amazing and is a must go-to if you are in Swansea.

I would recommend Swansea University to international students because it is very diverse. There are all sorts of people that have come from different parts of the world to study and this university. You will never feel like the odd one out. Swansea University cares about all their students and have funded so many societies such as the Islamic society, Saudi, Qatar, and Kuwait society.
