About

Samuel received his PhD in economics from Swansea University in 2019 with the thesis entitled “An investigation of the socio-economic relationship between civil society and social capital on subjective well-being”. Samuel is now a research assistant at Swansea University funded through the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research, Data & Methods (WISERD). Samuel is currently working on various research projects looking at the effects of religion on well-being and political participation, the effects of disability on political participation and progression pay in the public sector. Samuel is also using administrative data through the Administrative Data Research Network (ADRN) to analyse the effects of health events on a child’s education in early years.
