Gary is a Leadership and Management Development (L&MD) pracademic with an outstanding record of leading new ventures and large projects. He has a proven track-record of designing, developing and delivering leadership and management development programmes and organisational development initiatives. Gary is also a Director of Indycube CIC, the largest co-working provider in Wales.

  • AR-100 Leading Product and Service Design

    This module will explore the key concepts of product design and service solutions as applied to the creation, development and continuous improvement. Learners will study how to design and develop the innovation management system for a business or organisation and how to engage colleagues in the workplace. They will learn about the key principles for creating a culture for innovation and creativity in their professional life and in their organisations. Areas of consideration will include but are not limited to: What is the innovation / change opportunity; What is the Product / Service going to provide to the user; IP Consideration; Commercial attraction; Market focus; The approach; Limitations and Risk; Outcomes and Recommendations. Learning outcomes: Ability to assess current product and service offerings; Ability to design and develop new products and services through following an innovative model; Ability to assess new market opportunity; Ability to plan and develop a commercial approach which benefits the organisation;

  • ARA100 Leading Organisation Innovation

    Learners will study how to design and develop the innovation management system for a business or organisation. They will learn about the key principles for creating a culture for innovation and creativity in their professional life and in their organisations. Learners will study how to lead innovation within an organisation and begin to develop a 'learning organisation' that embeds innovation as an integral aspect of an organisations culture. This module examines the integration of principles the 'learning organisation' with organisational strategy, the key internal and external forces that determine the development of the organisations dynamic capabilities. Learning Outcomes ¿ Understand how to design a 'earning organisation'; ¿ Understand how to design and develop processes and practices that facilitate the development of a 'learning organisation'; ¿ Understand the dynamics and processes associated with a community of practice; ¿ Understand how to design, develop and facilitate communities of practice that support innovation and organisational learning; ¿ Explain how to develop process maps and visual management techniques; ¿ Understand how to design processes that engage people in their workplace with innovation and change.

  • ARA200 Developing Leadership

    This module aims enable learners to: ¿ Understand a range of leadership styles and the impact on organisational performance ¿ Understand themselves as a leader and the importance of personal awareness ¿ Develop the ability to lead, motivate and inspire others to achieve results ¿ Ability to compile and apply business models for operational performance and strategic direction ¿ Establish reflective practice to consolidate and embed learning ¿ Understand coaching skills for self-directed performance and people management ¿ Manage performance and conflict with confidence This Programme will focus on the essential skills required for leaders and managers in small, medium and large established organisations. It will place particular emphasis on developing their individual and people leadership skills to facilitate enterprise growth. The Developing Leadership programme will introduce participants to High Performance Work Practices (HPWP¿s), placing particular emphasis on leading self and leading others, enabling them to develop and implement sustainable plans that further drive the productivity and performance of their organisations. The programme will enhance participants¿ knowledge and skills around providing strong direction and motivating their team to achieve the vision and goals of the organisation. The programme develops participants¿ strategy skills - ¿working `on¿ the business and not `in¿ the business¿. The Developing Leadership programme encourages the delegation of day-to-day management to a trusted, empowered and skilled workforce, in order for strategic performance to be driven at all levels of the organisation.
