As a clinician, I have clinical experience of both male and female psychiatric intensive care, specialist neuropsychiatry and two national CAMHs units, including adolescent intensive care. As a researcher, I have presented original papers on the identity, philosophy and language of mental health nursing at three international research conferences and am published in the Mental Health Nursing Journal and (upcoming) Asylum Magazine.

Before becoming a nurse I was a support worker and research/nursing assistant in specialist neurology and homeless services in London.

I am also an alumnus of the NHS Staff College Leadership Programme.
