Professor Greg Fegan is the Director of the Swansea Trials Unit (STU) and Professor of Clinical Trials at Swansea University. He took up this post in December 2015 after spending about 25 years working outside of the UK. STU is one of approximately 50 registered clinical trials units within the United Kingdom that is overseen by the UK Clinical Research Collaboration.
Prior to joining Swansea, Greg worked in Kenya, USA and The Gambia for a variety of organisations including the University of Oxford & the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in conjunction with the Kenya Medical Research Institute, the Louisiana Office of Public Health and the UK Medical Research Councils’ Laboratories in Fajara, The Gambia.
Greg holds a PhD in Epidemiology from Tulane University in New Orleans and also has an MSc in Information Systems Engineering from South Bank University (formerly Polytechnic). Greg is an Accredited Professional Statistician of the American Statistical Association.
