About

Aidan graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2015 with a 1st Class in BSc Hons Biomedical Sciences (Pharmacology) and was awarded the Undergraduate Pharmacology Prize. He then undertook his PhD training at the Centre for Cancer Research and Cell Biology, Queen's University Belfast, which focused on the role of Itch E3 ubiquitin ligase in receptor signalling and endocytosis. Aidan has been a member of the British Pharmacological Society since his undergraduate degree. Aidan is the course Director for our Medical Pharmacology degreesFrom 2016 – 2018, he was the Society's first-ever Trustee (Early Career Pharmacologist) on Council and is the current Chair for the Early Career Advisory Group within the Society. Aidan has worked closely with the Society during this time on their Equality, Diversity & Inclusion policy, as well as improving Early Career representation within the Society as a whole.

Aidan is Module Lead for several modules at all levels of Undergraduate teaching and taught Masters modules with a primary focus on pharmacology, toxicology and pharmacogenomics.
