Dr Thinzar Min is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and a Consultant Physician in General Internal Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology at Singleton Hospital and Neath Port Talbot Hospital, Swansea Bay University Health Board. She graduated from Yangon, Myanmar in 2005. She completed the specialist training programme in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine in Wales Deanery in 2018. She received a MSc (Diabetes) with distinction from Cardiff University in 2014. Between 2014 and 2017, she undertook a MD project on long-term metabolic outcomes of bariatric surgery in people with diabetes and impaired glucose regulation at Swansea University Medical School. She is actively involved in teaching, supervision of junior doctors in training and research. Her other roles in the Health Board include Audit Lead for Singleton Hospital and Morbidity and Mortality Review Lead for Singleton hospital.

PM-344 Capstone Project

The aim of this module is to provide a capstone experience to students¿ learning, through participating in their own enquiry-based research project, with guidance from an academic supervisor. The project may be laboratory or non-laboratory based, but it will always involve a research question that is drawn from the literature, and focused on a topic relevant to the life sciences. It will ask a research question and involve the critical analysis of research findings. Students will refine their oral and written communication skills to a graduate level through an oral presentation and dissertation on their research findings and conclusions.
PMZM18 Diabetic Practice

Diabetes has reached world wide epidemic proportions and is fast becoming the defining disease of the 21st century. It also represents a major challenge to health organizations in chronic disease management. This module provides the basis for health care professionals to deliver high quality multidisciplinary diabetes care is an accredited qualification in Diabetes Care from the Swansea University. The module enables students to extend their network of contacts with others working in diabetes care, share experiences and develop supportive relationships.
