About

Clare Morgan is a Lecturer in Clinical Skills, within the School of Human and Health Sciences at Swansea University. She teaches clinical nursing skills and nursing theory on a variety of pre-registration nursing degree and MSc programmes. She is currently undertaking a MA qualification in ‘Education for the Health Professions’.

Prior to joining Swansea University in late 2019, Clare had worked for six years in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the National Immunodeficiency Centre for Wales and Immunology department. She continues to support the activities of the Immunodeficiency Patient Group Wales.

Since qualifying as a registered nurse in 2005 she has worked within urology, vascular, medical admissions and renal transplant wards before taking a secondment within Clinical Engineering as Cardiff and Vale’s UHB Medical Equipment Trainer. This developmental role enabled her to gain her Post Graduate Certificate in Education whilst facilitating University Health Board-wide nurse training on the safe use of infusion devices. Following this, in 2009 she joined the Acute Pain Service as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Acute Pain and continued in her educational role facilitating pain management, epidural and patient controlled analgesia UHB wide training days.
