About

Project Manager

I am an experienced Programme and Project Manager with an in depth knowledge of financial management, procurement, recruitment, line management, marketing and communications.  I have worked on numerous European and Welsh Government projects.

Since November 2015 I have been the Project Manager for The Centre for Ageing and Dementia Research (CADR) and I have responsibility for the day-to-day and financial management of the Centre along with coordinating the activities of our joint project sponsors, the Advisory Group and recently the IEG group. I am the main point of contact with the Health and Care Research Wales (HCRW)) funding sponsor.

Prior to working at CADR, I was employed at Cardiff University for over 15 years working a number of roles across Engineering and Architecture including concurrently project managing two European Funded (WEFO) projects - the Low Carbon Built Environment (LCBE) project which was part of a £50m programme housed under the Low Carbon Research Institute and The Sustainable Building Envelope Demonstration (SBED) Programme which was £8m. Both of these projects involved running major equipment procurement and EU tendering processes and also working closely with a large multinational company.

My professional and personable style, authentic and genuine approach to communication and my enthusiastic, versatile and strong work ethic mean that I can succeed in many different environments and can bring value to organisations. I embrace new approaches to work, new technologies and forward thinking flexible working environments.

I am also a registered practitioner of PRINCE2.
