I am Research Librarian (job-share with Susan Glen), working Wed-Fri. Our blog is at: We work within the Library Research Support Team providing training and support with open access, bibliometrics, research profiles and scholarly communications. We also co-ordinate the library training programme for research students. 

I completed a PhD in Egyptology at Swansea University in 1996 and I became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2017.

  • PME300 Educational Practice in a Digital Age

    This module will explore how digital technologies are considered to influence, benefit and challenge contemporary educational practice, and would be of interest to those wishing to pursue various careers in education, including policy development and leadership roles. This module will focus on critical questions, contemporary issues and emerging developments concerning digital technologies and education. Discussion topics will include behaviour, risk and safety, professional development, technology provision models, 'BYOD' and personal technologies in the learning environment, learning analytics, rethinking knowledge in the digital age, digital technologies and ideology, emerging technologies and predicting trends and impact.
