About

Daphne is a visual designer. She enjoys working in interdisciplinary environments. She is a Dr of Education and her research focuses on science-art education via the medium of installation art. Her background is drama (BA Drama) and performance (MA Visual Language of Performance). She is passionate about exploring the field of art-science education, communication, and engagement. She joined the University’s Department of Biosciences and FIRE Lab in January 2020 where she is currently working as a research officer.

Daphne’s focus is on engagement and science communication through the arts. She is currently working towards becoming a STEM ambassador for Wales. As a member of FIRE Lab, she is already working in various engagement projects focusing in inspiring people to relate and learn more about the riverine ecosystems.
