About

I am a registered Chartered Health Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS), with a PhD in cognitive psychology. My academic interests are broad, and include categorization models of cognition, data visualization, psychological therapies such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), the impact of therapy in society, and more recently how to utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to identify predictors for ill health which will allow for early interventions to be developed.

These interventions are intended to provide a cost reduction to the NHS. I have also developed several policy briefs for Welsh Government and in conjunction with the NHS in the area of health and AI. Finally, I  have recently co-edited a textbook with SAGE called ‘The Textbook of Health and Social Care’.
