I am a Senior Lecturer  and Field Lead for  Children and Young People’s Nursing (CYPN). I am a qualified nurse – RGN, RSCN ,PGCE who has a degree in Psychology as well as a Master degree in Nursing. I worked in clinical practice as a Children’s nurse in oncology and acute care before moving into education. I am involved in teaching and supervising the students studying for a pre-registration degree in Children’s Nursing. My teaching extends across a range of programmes run by the College of Human and Health Sciences where there is a need for expertise in children and young people’s health and children’s nursing. I also have links with the children’s wards delivering care across  our area as a link lecturer. I also represent CHHS and the CYP nursing team externally as required on national fora. I have published widely in my areas of interest.
