About

I am a Research Officer in Health Economics at the Swansea Centre for Health Economics (SCHE), a thriving research centre based within the School of Health and Social Care, Swansea University.

After completing my MSc in Economic Evaluation in Healthcare at City University, London in 2004, I worked for a health economics consultancy before moving to work for the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence clinical guidelines programme as a health economist on a number of national clinical guidelines firstly in chronic conditions and then in women’s and children’s health.

I started working at SCHE in 2016 where I have had the opportunity to work as the health economist on a variety of studies with researchers across the UK, developing economic evaluations based on clinical trial evidence and national datasets, developing a resource use questionnaire, and as a member of a study steering committee.

I am also involved in the health economic assessment of new medicines submitted to the All Wales Therapeutic and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC) as part of the review undertaken by the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG).
