Angela joined the CIA in November 2011 and works part-time across two areas as the Centre Administrator for the CIA and also the CFAS project. Angela’s role in the day-to-day running of both the CIA and the CFAS project includes the collation and dissemination of research project information and CIA activities on project progress, publications and conferences; the monitoring of research project finances and CIA budgets and expenditure; the organisation and co-ordination of all CIA and CFAS meetings, staff events, training courses, conferences and seminars; and the marketing and facilitating of CIA branding.
After graduating with a BA Joint Honours in Modern Languages in French and Spanish with Italian, Angela completed a PGCE in Modern Languages at secondary level and TEFL qualifications. Angela lived and worked abroad for several years teaching and working in tourism before returning to the UK where she has worked in various fields including EU-project Management at the University of Plymouth, language teaching, tourism, translation and editing. Angela also worked as an Area Manager for the Office of National Statistics on the 2001 Census, and prior to joining the CIA worked for several years at the Youth Justice Board Wales.
