Louise received a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering from the Imperial College in 2005. Following this, Louise worked as a Structural Engineer in large multidisciplinary engineering consultancies for 7 years in London and New Zealand. She returned to university to study an MSc in Sports Biomechanics at Loughborough University, graduating with a Distinction in 2014. Subsequently, Louise completed a PhD at the Sheffield Hallam University in Sports Biomechanics which investigated the effects of strength training on intermuscular coordination during maximal cycling. Her PhD was in collaboration with the English Institute of Sport and British Cycling.
Louise was appointed as a Research Assistant on the AFM2 SMARTExpertise project at Swansea University in June 2019.
