David is the Legal Professional Studies Co-ordinator at Swansea Law School and also teaches Public Law and a Professional specialist courses. David is a practising Barrister at Iscoed Chambers Swansea, where he specialises in Public and Local Government Law. He is also clerk and Monitoring Officer to Mid and West Wales Fire Authority and was formally Head of Legal Services and Officer at Swansea Council and Vice Chair of Legal Wales.

Formerly a Solicitor David spent over 20 years in local Government initially as Head of Litigation before ultimately managing a team of over 50 Solicitors and Barristers and was instrumental in enabling the team to become the first public sector legal Department to achieve LEXCEL and llP accreditation in 2000.

David has taught law for nearly 30 years at a number of education bodies and was an external examiner for Birmingham University.

He has also considerable experience in training in the public and private sectors and regularly provide training for bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and the Institute of Licensing.
