Zoë joined the School of Education in September 2019 as a Research Officer and 2nd year PhD student. Prior to this, Zoë worked as an Advanced Skills Teacher, middle and senior leader, and as an adviser in a local authority. Here, she worked on school improvement programmes with primary, special and secondary school teachers and leaders. From 2015, Zoë worked as Director of Education as part of the central leadership team to establish a cross-phase multi-academy trust. Here, she designed a professional learning model to support school improvement, teacher action research, coaching programmes and teaching and learning development between the schools in the trust. She is the author of Full On Learning (Crown House Publishing, 2012), a guide for teachers.
Her professional interests lie in organisational change, systems thinking, collaborative professional learning and evidence-informed teaching and leadership practice both within and between schools.
