Jiu jitsu is a martial art based on a traditional style which originated in medieval japan with the samurai and has been updated to be effective in modern defence and combat environments.

Jiu jitsu comprises of a system of throws, joint locks and strikes to quickly diffuse situations from escalating. Jiu jitsu is based on the principal of using an aggressor’s energy against them, meaning that whatever your size or strength you can defeat your opponent .

Training Sessions:

We train in the pavilion on a monday and wednesday from 17:00-18:30 and friday 17:00-19:00. If you don’t know where the pavilion is don’t worry, we will post the location on our facebook and instagram pages.

How to get involved?

We will most likely be holding polls on our facebook page and divide those who want to come for a taster session into groups. This is due to the fact that only a certain amount of people can train in the pavilion at the same time.

But don’t worry we will announce more information on our facebook page, we don’t want anyone to miss out and everyone will have the opportunity to attend a free taster session.

Who are we?

We are a kind friendly diverse group of people. Most of us attend swansea university but some don’t. We make an effort to get to know everyone and we make sure everyone feels happy and comfortable and that everyone is having a good time.
