Swansea ladies hockey club is an all-inclusive club, currently representing four teams that play in BUCs on a Wednesday and 7 teams in their respective Saturday teams.

This variety of teams provides many opportunities for any player that wishes to join the club; whether they are wishing to play at elite level with our ladies 1s in BUCS premier division or as a more social member in one of our lower teams.

in 2018 the university club merged with Swansea city, in order to benefit both clubs with a larger number of teams and numerous resources allowing rapid development for the club as a whole. This merge even allowed for some of our university players to play for the Swansea Spartans; who have recently become the first welsh hockey team to play in the national premier division, playing against the best teams in the country.

Hockey at Swansea also has a very social side to the club. The usual social is held weekly every Wednesday in Pop world but we also host a number of sober socials ranging from team pasta bonding to laser tag.

Currently all teams train twice a week; once on a Monday night for BUCs games and one other night of the week for Saturday games. Training for all teams is run by one of our coaches and is always very fun and welcoming to anyone who wants to participate.

If you would like to join hockey this year, please head to our union page – women’s hockey where all information on how to buy membership is available.
