From the 29th October to 5th November, Swansea University Netball Club took part in “The Great SUNC Sweat Off” where cumulatively as a club we had to walk 100 miles, swim 12 miles, row 41 miles and cycle 43 miles!

Over the course of this challenging event, we managed to raise a total of £300 for Shelter Cymru who help get homeless people off the street and into sheltered housing which we feel is a very important problem, especially as we head towards winter.

Looking ahead, the next event we will be hosting is a Pub Quiz in JC’s on the 30th November which we are very excited about. For this event, we will be raising money for a local charity to Swansea called LocalAid. This supports children with physical and learning difficulties around Swansea.

The money raised will be going towards new equipment for the children to help them be more independent, and extra support to families when they most need it.

We hope this event will be just as successful as our first!
