Pole Fitness winter showcase
At the end of each term Swansea University Pole Fitness Club puts on a showcase for its members, friends, family, and the public. This showcase allows members of all levels to perform anything they’ve learned since they’ve started doing pole. It’s a great way to build confidence and develop performance skills, particularly for those who will be competing for the first time.
Showcases are also used as an opportunity to raise money for charity. This year, like the previous year, our charity of choice is Mind, a local organization offering mental health services. In addition to raising money for Mind, a food bank collection was also taking donations for Discovery.
This was the first time that some of our members will be performing a pole routine, or even performing at all, in front of an audience. Each member who performed did so with so much confidence and fluidity, it was incredible to witness. They each made their committee and their instructors Dawn and Alan very proud. The wonderful performers and audience managed to raise an amazing £43 for Mind, as well as a generous donation to Discovery's food bank, with more to be collected in classes and training sessions.
