Swansea University 1st team took on a very strong Bristol 1st team on Wednesday the 28th of November.

With the Bristol team starting off very confident in the first quarter and dominating possession. The second quarter was similar, with Bristol half court defence press proving difficult for the Swans attack to find their feet.

However, the Swans defence was very strong intercepting passes, allowing them to decrease the lead from Bristol.

In the final quarter, Swans started off strong with shooters finding confidence and shooting hoops. Bristol appeared to tire in this quarter, resulting in Swansea winning the third quarter but Bristol were still ahead by a good margin. The final quarter was an equal one, both Swans defence and attack both performing well, but Bristol managing to stay confident and end the game with a strong win of 45-22.

The Swansea defence was strong throughout the game and the score we feel was not a true reflection of the girls performance.

Congratulations to goalkeeper Georgie Saunders winning her third man of the match this season.

This game was a tough one for us, but we felt we were prepared for it. We are training harder than ever to remain in the league we have just moved up to and are hoping that all our training sessions and dedication will pay off next season.  #GWA
