Coronavirus Recovery: advice and latest information

About the Survey

The Graduate Outcomes survey is the biggest annual social survey in the UK and captures the perspectives and current status of graduates. All graduates who completed a higher education course in the UK will be asked to take part in the survey 15 months after they finish their studies.

Your response is valuable to us and adds to the collective voice of graduates from the UK.

The survey looks to understand whether you’re in employment, have continued with further study or are doing something else and to what extent your qualification played a part. We want to gain insight into whether the student experience delivered what was promised to you, from a learning and potential employment perspective. We don’t expect every path or destination to be totally straightforward.

We also want to understand the non-traditional routes that graduates are taking following education. Employment isn’t the only successful outcome: we want to know what you do, and really understand what you see as fulfilling.

The results of the survey will give current and future students an insight into career destinations open to them and help the university to promote their courses. The figures feed into university league tables and gives the university, and therefore your degree, status.

More information about the survey can be found at: www.graduateoutcomes.ac.uk.

How to complete the survey

First, please keep the contact details we hold for you up to date. You can do this any time between graduation and the following 15 months. You can update your contact details here.

15 months after graduation, you will receive an email from: SwanseaUniversity@graduateoutcomes.ac.uk. inviting you to complete the survey online. This is the quickest and easiest way to take part. You can take the survey on most devices so you can complete it on the morning commute, on your lunch hour or when you get a spare few minutes in your day.

You may also be contacted by telephone. A third party called IFF Research will be conducting the survey by phone. They will call graduates to encourage survey participation over the phone. They will identify themselves as calling on behalf of Swansea University.

*As a student and graduate (alumnus/a), your information is held securely by Swansea University and will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 – and as of May 2018, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 . Any updates you provide will amend your existing University record for the purposes of executing HESA’s Graduate Outcomes. Read full details about how we manage your data, online here.
