The Swansea Particle Theory group will be featured on this week's BBC Science Cafe, to be broadcast on Tuesday the 4th of November on BBC Radio Wales at 6:30pm.

Particle Theory GroupFor the programme, host Adam Walton and producer Jeremy Grange visited the Physics Department in the Vivian Tower on the Singleton Campus and interviewed Dr Maurizio Piai, Prof. Gert Aarts and Prof. Prem Kumar as three representatives of the broad research programme in Theoretical Particle Physics in Swansea. The show will focus on the general theme of research in theoretical and mathematical physics and how it is actually pursued and driven, whilst touching upon some of the specialized subject areas at Swansea. These include phenomenological aspects such as the physics seen at the Large Hadron Collider (CERN), computational approaches to the physics of Strong Interactions, and formal advances in the areas of Quantum Field Theories and String Theory
