Jellyfish havoc

Researchers from Deakin University, Australia, and Swansea University are trying to determine why swarms of jellyfish are wreaking havoc on fish farms and power plants

The research is featured in an article in Bloomberg, which carries details of the study into this phenomenon. Professor Graeme Hays, research group leader, Department of Biosciences, Swansea University said, “Jellyfish blooms may be increasing as a result of climate change and overfishing........ They have a lot of negative impacts -- clogging power station intakes, stinging people and killing fish in farms.”
