Computational Foundry hosts Facebook as part of international conference

Computational Foundry and CHERISH-DE were pleased to host a Facebook team on the eve of the TASMConf, an International Conference on Terrorism and Social Media at Swansea University.

CHERISH-DE has an extensive collaboration with Facebook, led by Tashi Gyaltsen, through its project initiatives such as Digital Economy Crucible, CDT on AI and Big Data, and PhD internship; and Escalator projects tackling terrorism on social media by Prof Stuart MacDoanld.

The event celebrated our collaboration and focussed on a programme of work that CHERISH-DE Co-I Prof Stuart MacDonald has commenced since 2016, with support from two CHERISH-DE escalator grants. The talk and discussion was around 'Advancing Collaborative Research and Understanding of Online Counterterrorism’.
