Teaching Skills for Teaching Assistants / Teaching Skills for Senior Teaching Assistants
This workshop will help you to understand your role and to develop the skills to support students’ learning, help them to develop their critical thinking skills and provide them with meaningful feedback.
Running Successful Seminars and Tutorials (Teaching Assistants only)
This workshop will help you to maximise the advantages and manage the challenges of small group teaching settings, and to devise creative activities to engage students and promote learning.
Apply to be a Teaching Assistant or Demonstrator, attend the Swansea Academy of Learning and Teaching (SALT) conference, and get involved in other opportunities to communicate with students such as signing up as a Student Ambassador, and mentor other members of your research group.
Extend your teaching skills to secondary school students, to inspire them and enrich their academic experience, by applying for a placement with the Brilliant Club.
You may even like to work towards Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
