MSc Cognitive Neuroscience graduate publishes the findings of her dissertation thesis

Bre-Anna Owusu (née King), a recent graduate from MSc Cognitive Neuroscience, has published her dissertation findings in Journal of Neurolinguistics.

Using brain stimulation, she found that stimulating brain regions that are involved in speaking and understanding language strengthens word associations and facilitates better recall of words. The findings of the study have significant implications for improvement of language processing in clinical populations.

Transcranial direct current stimulation improves novel word recall in healthy adults.
