Prof. Vanessa Burholt (Centre for Innovative Ageing) and Prof. Andrea Tales (Dept. of Psychology) and colleagues have secured a £1.2 million funding boost for the pan-Wales Centre for Ageing and Dementia Research (CADR) based at Swansea University

The funding has been awarded by Health and Care Research Wales on behalf of the Welsh Government. CADR, (Directed by Prof. Burholt) is a collaboration between Swansea, Bangor and Cardiff Universities, which was established in 2015. Building on existing internationally recognised and transformative research networks, CADR is a world-class research centre addressing key internationally important questions in ageing and dementia. The Centre integrates multi-disciplinary activity and develops areas of expertise from biological, through psycho-social and environmental, to social policy in ageing and dementia.
