The Department of History and Classics at the College of Arts and Humanities organised the day as part of an outreach programme, to broaden access to Classics and to encourage students to consider studying it at degree level.

Dr Evelien Bracke said: “History and Classics staff are not only leading scholars in their field but also committed to teaching and public engagement. We hope that their enthusiasm has inspired some students here today to continue studying this fascinating subject at University.”
