“The lecture series which has been running for over 13 years has consistently hosted high-calibre speakers who have delivered thought-provoking lectures often containing profound wisdom and insights.

“We are very excited that the centenary lecture in this series is to be given by Archbishop Gallagher and we look forward to significant attendance on the evening.”

The lecture follows Archbishop Gallagher’s visit, in his official role as the Secretary for Relations with States for the Holy See, to London last month to meet with members of Her Majesty's Government and members of both the Houses of Parliament.  The visit was sponsored by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and was aimed at highlighting the role of the Holy See on the international stage.

Nigel John said: “The Archbishop is known to be an engaging speaker, with an intense concern of global issues and how the teachings of the Church can influence people’s hearts and minds and enhance understanding in modern times.  We look forward tremendously to his very topical lecture.”
