The College of Law at Swansea University has marked a decade of running its successful Legal Practice Course (LPC); backed by local solicitors, this gives students essential practical skills for a professional career in law. The College marked the occasion with an event and reception which brought together past and present students and lawyers from across the region.

The event was aimed at providing support for students currently following undergraduate degrees in Law (LLB) and the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL).   It was also the 10th anniversary of the College GDL programme.  Practising lawyers from local firms gave talks and workshops on areas such as what employers are looking for, putting together a CV, and the dos and don’ts of an interview.

Former students now in significant roles in legal practice spoke to the audience about how the course had helped them in their career.
