Welsh-medium Modern Languages Summer School

A Welsh-medium Modern Languages Summer School will be held at Swansea University on the 3rd and 4th of July.

Modern Languages Summer SchoolThe Summer School is free of charge and is open to year 12 pupils who study French, Spanish or German through the medium of Welsh at AS level.

The two day course offers an excellent opportunity for individuals to revise and practise their language skills ahead of their A-levels. The course also offers pupils a taste of student life as the get to spend the night on the university campus.

There will also be an opportunity to speak to native speakers, to watch and discuss foreign films, practise translation skills, and to learn more about job opportunities to those with language skills. 

Dr Sophie Smith, the event coordinator, said: “It’s a great pleasure to host the Modern Languages Summer School this year. The course offers unique experiences to those studying modern languages, and the feedback we’ve received from past pupils has been excellent.

"This is the sixth time we’ve conducted this type of Summer School, and I look forward to welcoming a new group of pupils once again this year”.
