Swansea University to host its largest ever Careers Fair

Swansea University will host its largest ever Careers Fair on October 11th and 12th across both Singleton Park and Bay Campus.

With high expectations following the success of last year’s event, which supported over 3,500 students, Swansea Employability Academy and staff across all Colleges have risen to the challenge to make this year’s fair even greater.

The university prepares to welcome returning exhibitors, including TATA Steel, Admiral, General Dynamics, NHS Wales and Ospreys, who have further cemented their support for our students through curriculum delivery, paid internships and a range of innovative projects fuelled by a co-creative approach to solving real world problems.

The Careers Fair will also introduce new organisations, including Pilkington NSG Group, BAE Systems, TWI Technology Centre, Pexip and PoblGroup. The venues of Fulton House and the Great Hall will be at capacity each day, welcoming both students and staff as well as businesses.

11.30am-3.00pm each day:

  • 11 October, Fulton House, Singleton Campus
  • 12 October, Great Hall, Bay Campus

Jon Howden-Evans, Head of Swansea Employability Academy said:

"Always listening to what employers are telling us, we have facilitated a networking environment for them to also meet with Swansea University teaching and research staff.

"Creating networks has always been a key outcome for our students and in designing this year’s careers fair, developing these networking opportunities will further strengthen the impact of the day."

Hilary Lappin-Scott OBE, Swansea University’s Senior Pro-Vice Chancellor said:

"As well as welcoming back many employers who are now truly part of the Swansea University network, I’m looking forward to meeting new businesses and organisations who have heard about the difference we make here.

"The employability support we offer at Swansea University has transformed the opportunities for both our students and the employers we work with and I’m delighted that this is producing such great outcomes for all concerned."
