Physics at Swansea is 2nd in in the UK for student satisfaction with 97%

The Physics department at Swansea University is celebrating fantastic results in the 2018 National Student Satisfaction Survey (NSS). Physics received an overall satisfaction score of 97%, ranking number 2 in the UK.

Professor Peter Dunstan, Programme Director for Physics says

“The Physics Department is delighted that the National Student Survey scores for 2018 reflect the combined efforts of the staff and students at making Swansea University one of the best places in the UK to study Physics, with it achieving a UK top 2 position for Overall Score. This is a pleasing addition to our ranking of 13th in the UK in this year’s Guardian University Guide.

“Some of the detailed scores for physics are exceptional and consistency is high for all scores, including the top ranked results for teaching on my course, organisation and management, student experience and student voice. The recent staff expansion, new study hub facilities and the strength of our research-led teaching have been very well received by our students, where they have recognised that the department’s focus is all about them enjoying Physics and succeeding to the best of their potential in their studies. The Department wishes to record our thanks to all our recent graduates and look forward to seeing how they progress with their careers.  There are exciting times ahead with new teaching and research developments coming online, and the department looks forward to welcoming our returning students and our new intake for the excitement of another academic year in September.”
