Steve Thomas CBE, the retiring chief executive of the Welsh Local Government Association, gave a valedictory address at a Morgan Academy event in the Senedd on 13th November 2018.

Sponsored by Sian Gwenllian AM, Steve’s stimulating speech on the future of Welsh local government and its relationship with the Welsh Government reflected on a sometimes difficult relationship, based on his experience as Chief Executive of the WLGA for 14 years, and from over 30 years of experience in local government.
