The strategic nature of City Deals and learning from research and practice both across the UK and internationally were the key themes of a half-day conference organised by Swansea University’s Morgan Academy in collaboration with the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research, Data and Methods (WISERD).

The ‘How City Deals could make a difference’ event took place on Wednesday 20 March 2019 at the School of Management, on the University’s Bay Campus and was chaired by the Morgan Academy’s Assistant Director, Dr Aled Eirug.

Speakers on the day included Swansea University’s Prof. David Blackaby and Newcastle University’s Prof. Andy Pike, along with Andrew Carter, Chief Executive of Centre for Cities; Dr Tim Williams, ARUP Australasia and the Future Generations Commissioner, Sophie Howe, and their presentations are available to view below.
