‌‌Professor Richard B Davies, Vice-Chancellor of Swansea University, said: “Our Degree and Award Congregations are the happiest occasion in the academic year.

"I would like to offer my warmest congratulations to our students graduating this year and I wish them every success for the future.‌

“The Congregations also enable us to acknowledge the important role that our students’ friends and families play in supporting and encouraging them throughout their years of study – and not least in their final year of study which is the culmination of their efforts and hard work.

“And what a year it has been for Swansea!

“This year’s graduates can take justifiable pride in knowing they leave a University which has consistently risen in UK and international league tables and rankings in the last few years, including The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide; The Guardian University League Tables; the Complete University Guide; and the international QS World University Rankings by Subject and QS Stars, placing Swansea in the company of top global universities.

‌“The National Student Survey (NSS) results showed that satisfaction levels amongst students at Swansea University continued to rise with 89% of students responding that they are satisfied with their course overall.

Graduation“The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education’s (QAA) Institutional Review confirmed that we had met all UK academic standards and quality expectations and commended us for our enhancement of student learning opportunities.

“This September, the University’s new science and innovation Bay Campus opens and we will enter a new era – one which will include a greatly-enhanced, international experience for all our future students.

“We have a proud history of equipping students for exceptional personal and professional achievement since 1920. I hope this year’s graduates will be able to take a continuing pride in Swansea University, as we continue to build upon the phenomenal success of recent years.”
