Hundreds of new International students from all over the world were given a warm Welsh welcome this weekend, at a Reception jointly hosted by Swansea University, the Students Union and the City and County of Swansea at the Singleton Campus.
The event was a highlight of the annual International Welcome and Orientation Weekend for international students which took place from 19th to 21st September.
Students enjoyed the September sunshine with trips to Gower and to Cardiff on Sunday ahead of the Reception.
Organised jointly by the International Student Advisory Service, the International Development Office and the Students Union, the International Welcome and Orientation Event takes place at the start of each academic year and aims to ensure the smooth transition of international students to Swansea, and the University way of life.
About 300 students used a meet and greet coach service from Heathrow to Swansea University and attended the University Welcome Fayre in a huge marquee erected on campus for the weekend and the whole of Freshers' Week.
