Swansea to host the International Marcé Society Biennial Scientific Conference

A prestigious international biennial conference which will put perinatal mental health under the spotlight will be hosted by Swansea University later this week.

The Marcé Society, the international society which promotes the understanding, prevention and treatment of puerperal mental disorders will be welcoming researchers, clinicians and practitioners from around the world to the three day conference which starts on Wednesday 10th September.  Delegates to the conference will be discussing how best to promote a greater understanding of the behavioural and neuro sciences, and the impact on perinatal mental health. They will also share research ideas, best practice while considering the diversity of international treatments and interventions.

 International scientific experts will be presenting some of the latest findings on the main themes of the conference which are:

  • Global advances in treatment
  • Neuroscience and epigenetics
  • Mother /infant interactions
  • Fathers

Amongst the conference highlights are:
