    In Conversation with David Miliband

The Rt Hon David Miliband will be visiting Swansea University on Tuesday 7 February for a question and answer session that is open to staff and students at Swansea and Swansea Metropolitan Universities.

The session will be hosted by Swansea University’s Department of Political and Cultural Studies and will be chaired by Dr Jonathan Bradbury, Head of the Department.

The event forms part of David Miliband’s UK Universities Tour in which the former Foreign Secretary will visit over 20 Universities across the country. The Swansea session will focus on global and domestic challenges in 2012, and discuss issues such as the Eurozone crisis, jobs and living standards and the future of higher education.

Dr Jonathan Bradbury said, “David Miliband has embarked on a tour of British universities at a key time when many issues affecting Wales, the UK, Europe and  the World are up in the air. His visit to Swansea provides a rare opportunity to engage with one of the big figures in British politics and discuss the way forward.”

In Conversation with David Miliband will take place at the Taliesin Theatre, Swansea University on Tuesday 7 February, 12.30-2.00 pm. Advance tickets have already sold out, but there will be a limited availability on the door.
