Entry Requirements

LLM Candidates should have a good initial degree in law or cognate discipline. Candidates with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Language Proficiency

Most EU/overseas candidates will normally be expected to satisfy the requirements of proficiency in English, for example an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5 (at least 6.0 in all components) or TOEFL 88 internet based (at least Listening: 21, Reading: 22, Speaking: 23, Writing: 21).

How to apply

You can apply for the LLM degrees in the following ways:

Online: On-Line Application

By post: Application forms are obtained from:
Postgraduate Admissions Office
Swansea University
Singleton Park

Alternatively, if you would like to apply by paper application then please request a Postgraduate application pack.

Your application will be delayed if you do not submit the relevant supporting documents with your application form:

  1. Certificates and transcripts.
  2. If your qualification is pending, then please upload a transcript or list of the modules you have taken to-date.
  3. Your English Language test certificates (i.e IELTS/TOEFL) if appropriate. Otherwise, please state the state you are planning to take the test.
  4. If you hold open references, then please upload them with your application. Alternatively please ask your referees to send their letters of support direct to the Admissions Office.
  5. If you do not hold a bachelor-equivalent qualification and wish to be considered for a postgraduate programme under our non-graduate admissions policy then you should upload a work experience C.V./resume with your application. The C.V should include dates of employment, job titles, employment hours, and the nature of your responsibilities/duties.
