‘The Trump Administration and International Law’
The Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law at Swansea University invites you to a lecture by leading international lawyer, Professor Harold Hongu Koh, on May 15th 2019. The lecture will be based on his recent book, ‘The Trump Administration and International Law’ and will address the challenge posed by the Trump Administration to the very foundations of international law.
The lecture will begin at 6pm and will be held in the Richard Price Lecture Theatre at the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law, Singleton Park Campus. It will be preceded by a drinks reception at 5.30pm.
Admission is free of charge but booking is essential.
Professor Harold Hongu Koh is one of America’s leading and most influential international lawyers. He is Sterling Professor of International Law, and former Dean, at Yale Law School. He served as Legal Adviser, U.S. Department of State from 2009-13; Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor from 1998-2001; and Attorney-Adviser, Office of Legal Counsel, U.S. Department of Justice, from 1983-85. Professor Koh is the author or co-author of 8 books and 200 articles and has received seventeen honorary degrees, more than thirty human rights awards, the Wolfgang Friedmann Prize from Columbia Law School and the Louis B. Sohn Award from the American Bar Association's International Law Section for his lifetime achievements in international law.
