The renowned international law firm, Ince, presented the Ince Prize for the highest overall mark in Swansea University’s Shipping and Trade LLM programmes to Mr Jack Ford of our 2018/19 cohort (Jack's four modules were Marine Insurance, International Commercial Arbitration, Charterparties and Carriage of Goods by Sea, Land and Air).
Jack was presented the award by the firm’s leading partner, Mr Peter Rogan. The prize itself consisted of a cash sum of £500 and a coveted one-week internship in Ince’s flagship office in London. Having such close links with the firm over the past decade, Swansea’s Institute of International Shipping & Trade Law (IISTL) would like to thank Ince for their continuing support and investment in our promising young lawyers. Jack was accompanied by Professor Williams and Dr Kurtz-Shefford, at the Ceremony.
Speaking after the event Dr Kurtz-Shefford, the Deputy Director of Shipping & Trade, said: “The prize is well deserved and we know he will do Swansea University proud at his internship with Ince. Who could ask for a better start in their career? As ever, we are proud to count such a prestigious and forward looking law firm as a supporter.”
