Inspiring Woman 2020
Beveley retired from BT following a successful managerial career and subsequently joined the University, providing administrative support via the temporary register. In 2013, she supported SEA and rapidly became a highly valued member of staff, going on to become SEA’s permanent Senior Administrator.
Beveley is renowned for consistently giving 100% to everything she does, as well as going above and beyond to support those around her - especially those new to SEA management roles by sharing her managerial experiences and inspiring other women, in particular, to lead.
Employability has been a key area of success for Swansea University, in recent years and Bev has been key to much of this success. She provided significant support in regards to the DLHE (Destinations of Leavers’ from Higher Education) surveys and was instrumental in getting the highly popular ‘SPIN’ and ‘WoW’ internship schemes off the ground. Bev also single-handedly organises the SEA Dinner, every summer, bringing together students, graduates, staff and graduate recruiters to celebrate SEA’s successes, keeping morale high and regionally enforcing our reputation.
